We can’t wait to watch the Olympics Opening Ceremony tonight. We caught up with Elle Logan (pictured third from the left), a Maine native and member of the U.S. Olympic Rowing team while she’s prepping for the games in London. We’re rooting for you, Elle!

What are you most looking forward to in this year’s Olympics and how do you feel differently compared to the 2008 games?
Racing! I cannot wait to race with my boat and be a part of the Olympic competition.  That is by far the thing I am looking forward to.  In Beijing I was the youngest member on the team and everything was exciting and new for me.  Now for the London Olympics, I feel just as excited but a little calmer and enjoying every single moment.
Favorite spot in Maine?
Powderhorn Island (a small little island in my hometown) and Gulf Hagas. But also any place where my family is: Boothbay Harbor, Canaan, Bangor, and Sugarloaf.
Go-to songs to get you ready for a race?
If you give me a remix to about pretty much any song I will be ready to go.  I love remixes.
L.L.Bean item you can’t live without?
Definitely my oversized canvas monogramed Boat & Tote.  I have it here with me now because everything fits into it! Also the real vintage L.L.Bean snap-up pullovers.  They age very well.
